Massachusetts Healthy Aging Collaborative

The Massachusetts Healthy Aging Collaborative is a network of leaders in community, health and wellness, government, advocacy, research, business, education and philanthropy who have come together—combining their expertise, experiences and resources—to rethink how communities support healthy aging.

Older people are an asset to our communities. The Massachusetts Health Aging Collaborative’s multi-dimensional model builds communities ready to embrace the contributions and energy of older people. This model is aligned with the World Health Organization’s definition of active aging, and supports services that “optimize opportunities for health, participation and security in order to enhance quality of life as people age.” This work is leading the way in charting a new course for society in its support of aging and older adults.

In 2014, the Collaborative launched a website that provides a communication platform for healthy aging professionals across the state.
